Who We Are
Hello!
We are Lily and Aimée, two sisters who wanted to bring together our skills and experience to create a business that offers creative, personal and bespoke social media content creation, management and photography.
Based in North East Victoria and Naarm (Melbourne), Lily works in marketing and Aimée is a photographer, both with social media management and content creation experience.
When starting Albatross Media, we wanted to ensure we offer a personal experience, where you get to work with us as individuals, rather than an agency. This includes us coming to you, for regular content days to ensure your socials are always up to date with what’s new.
The best part is we do it all! No need for you to come up with content ideas or figure out how to take professional video and photos on your phone.
Meet Lily
Since completing a Bachelor of Business (Event Management) at Deakin University, I have been working with a range of small businesses across the region, providing services for social media content, product photography, email marketing, website development/management and paid online advertising.
I love being creative both in my business and leisure time through photography and videography. When travelling locally and overseas I enjoy capturing creative candid photos/film of the places I visit, the experiences I have and always, the amazing foods I enjoy!
It gives me great satisfaction when there is a fusion of creativity, systems and professionalism, which culminates in efficiency, with a twist of creativity and individuality. This is important for me as a creative professional, but also for delivering a quality product to my clients.
I enjoy being outdoors and when working from home, my work buddy is the family ginger tabby cat, named Saffron Milk Cat (Saffy for short)!
Meet Aimée
I am an internationally award winning photographer. Growing up in rural north-east Victoria, my love for creativity and fascination with the natural world began from an early age.
I moved to Naarm (Melbourne), to study a Cert IV and Diploma of Photography and Digital Imaging at RMIT, which I completed at the end of 2024.
In 2019, I won the Head On Student award and a gold award in Silk Road Youth International Photo Competition at Photo Beijing.
My work spans a variety of subjects, with a focus on capturing authentic moments and telling compelling visual stories.
About the Wandering Albatross
When choosing a business name, we wanted to choose something that reflected our joint love for nature and animals, as well as being a striking symbol.
After spending many days brainstorming and flipping through our nature books, we landed on the Albatross page, and there was the Wandering Albatross. The bird with the largest wingspan in the world! Pretty hard to miss.
Albatross have historically been seen as good luck and guiding symbols for sailors. Renowned for their incredible endurance, they spend most of their life at sea, soaring with their 3.5 meter wingspan. They are lifelong and devoted partners, often living up to 60 years of age. Not to mention they just look so majestic!
And so it was decided, Albatross Media would be our name.
